Connecting impactors to PPR communities to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation and create a communal impact.
The Rumah Rakyat platform is a directory for the PPR communities across Malaysia. Our platform aims to connect and highlight PPR communities to build an ecosystem where people can understand and empathize with these communities. By uniting the PPR communities on this platform, we raise awareness and encourage better access to these underprivileged communities for NGOs and changemakers who craft solutions to solve community-centric issues.
The platform hosts a directory of all NGOs and innovators tackling challenges within Malaysia, while also highlighting the various PPR communities. Ruang Reka aims to bridge the gap between the changemakers, communities and resources.
The impactors of the 21st century are those with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset. They are passionate about harnessing available technology and resources to tackle community challenges. However, they lack access to the communities and are unable to fully empathize with the problems.
Interventions allow the PPR communities and impactors to collaborate as changemakers in order to tackle social issues and implement solutions that will benefit the community. These interventions provide access to the right resources, network, and manpower to help these communities further alleviate the challenges faced.
A PPR (Projek Perumahan Rakyat) is a low-cost government flat often resided by the lower income group of Malaysia. The PPR communities are individuals who live within the government-supported housing.
